Delara Darabi, Shahla Jahed: they once more face a threat of death We shouldn’t let them to be executed!

Islamic Republic prepares the noose once more for Shahla Jahed and Delara Darabi. Cases of Shahla and Dara are being reprocessed and they are nearing execution once more, says Abdolsamad Khoramshahi, their lawyer. The Islamic Republic has tried many times to end their lives and execute them based on the Islamic law of genesis. Huge domestic and International protests have been the most important factor in saving them from executions. More than 22 judges have already demanded Capital Punishment for Shahla Jahed, according to Islamic Republic official news agencies. These judges have previously killed hundreds of people with each one of their signatures.

The movement that has been formed around the demand for saving Shahla Jahed and Delara Darabi goes back deep in the society and it will materialize as a vast and extensive protest movement against executions. Two movies have been made about these two women and the moments of their lives and their courts have been reflected in a lot of domestic and international Medias. These activities, together with tens of protest meetings all over the world, meeting and negotiation with International bodies and pressuring the Islamic Republic of Iran, has practically undermined the judicial system of Islamic Republic. Islamic Republic now wants to target the movement that has been formed around these two famous cases. The Islamic government of Iran wants to stop people’s protests with creating an atmosphere of fear and awe.

We shouldn’t let Islamic Republic reach its dirty, criminal goals. We have been able so far, and we will be able again, to break down this counter-attack of the Islamic Republic.

International Committee Against Execution will summon all its power to save Shahla Jahed and Delara Darabi. We demand all the organizations and bodies and all noble and freedom-loving people of the world to protest the execution decrees for Shahla Jahed and Delara Darabi and demand their immediate and unconditional release.

Defend the right to live, right here from Geneva

A message to the Geneva summit of Human Rights organizations
To representatives of all Human Rights organizations and participants of Geneva Summit!

While you are sitting in your chairs in the Geneva Summit, shaking feet of a young woman in Iran are placed on the execution chair. When lecturers are getting ready for their speeches, in Iran they are preparing the noose to kill another young girl. And when you talk about Humans and Human Rights, they are reading out loud the decree of execution for a young girl, in the name of god and the law of genesis. In your first break, Delara Darabi, 23, who has been in prison, awaiting execution, since she was 17, would cease breathing. Her heart would start beating and her cold body would stay there.

The day after, murderers of those like Delara would come to the heart of Geneva, sitting in United Nations Conference to speak of “Justice” and “Humanity” and “Discrimination”. Those who command the death sentence for children, women and men, those who authorize stoning of women, those who sign decrees of execution, eye removal and mutilation of hands and feet, Those who shoot prisoners after being hanged, just to make sure. Wherever you saw them remember that behind their bearded faces, is a sea of crime. Remember that they have executed tens of thousands of people and right now they are keeping hundreds of people in prison, waiting for executions. When you saw them, remember Shahla Jahed, another woman who is supposed to be executed soon.

Remember heads of the Islamic Republic in the UN conference are those who have had authorized:
- Execution decrees for more than 110 children.
- Have at least decreed 10 stonings and there is possibility of putting into practice this brutal, middle-ages practice, any moment.
- They represent the second Executioner country in the world.

You, as activists and advocates of Human Rights, have a duty to be a voice of life in the heart of Geneva. Defend the right to live. Expose and denounce ambassadors of the government of death. Today’s Hitlers shouldn’t have any place in the world.

On behalf of the International Committee Against Executions; On behalf of hundreds of children, women and men who are languishing in the prisons of Islamic Republic; on behalf of all those families who have their faith in us so we can save the life of their loved ones; I ask you to pressure Islamic Republic however you can and demand the general abolishment of Capital Punishment and immediate repeal of execution decrees for Delara Darabi, Shahla Jahed and Amir Amrolahi (19, been In prison and awaiting death since 16).

International Committee Against Executions,
Farshad Hosseini

Protest the Islamic Atrocities against Women and People of Afghanistan Sexual Apartheid must be Abolished Worldwide

The bill that recently was passed by the Afghan government and other Islamic bullies that rule Afghanistan is an example of sexual apartheid and Islamic atrocity against women. This bill, which apparently was ratified by Karzai and the parliament of Afghanistan in silence and brought to light by a UN employee, has gathered every reactionary and antihuman Islamic law against women in the same place. From polygyny to compulsory sexual intercourse with the husband, to custody rights and husband or father’s permission for the woman to go out of home; all these are signs of a full-scale sexual slavery.
This recent bill is so loathsome that even the foreign minister of the United States has expressed her concerns and NATO commander in Afghanistan has complained that he would not be able to justify the war in Afghanistan before the public in West. But doesn’t the US try to include “moderate Taliban” into government of Afghanistan? Is this law anything other than Taliban laws? The existing Afghan government is nothing but “moderate Taliban;” in other words, it is nothing other than benign, pro-Western political Islam. This recent law, after all, is the product of the conditions, which were formed by these forces. This is just a glimpse of the horrendous nightmare that has been going on in Afghanistan, especially against women.
The worker-communist Party of Iran expresses its deep detestation against this bill and strongly condemns the Islamic government of Afghanistan and its supporters. This law must be immediately abolished. WPI supports the struggles of women and all progressive organizations in Afghanistan and the efforts of all who fight to end this disgraceful slavery of women and who struggle to establish freedom and equality in this country. WPI will also do its part for the immediate abolishment of this law and condemnation of reactionary Islamic government of Afghanistan.
However, these are not sufficient. Observing this recent misogynist Islamic law, the international public should recognize the barbaric and antihuman character of sexual apartheid and slavery of women in Islam-ridden countries. Millions of women in Iran, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, North African countries, and even heart of Europe are victimized by Islamic veiling, segregation of men and women, rapes that are “legalized” by Sharia law, honor killing, stoning, and a complete and repugnant deprivation of their rights, which is comparable to ancient slavery only, on a routine daily basis. Sexual apartheid, sexual slavery should be abolished. Laws about compulsory veiling and segregation of boys and girls and women and men should be condemned and abolished worldwide. In support of the struggles of women and people of Afghanistan WPI, which has been actively fighting on this battlefront for years, will now intensify its efforts in order to mobilize large-scale forces for abolishing sexual apartheid worldwide.

On the occasion of May Day,International Workers’ Day

Worker-communist Party of Iran calls on all to
come forward for the expropriation of contemporary slave owners!
The International Workers’ Day approaches at a time when the world is being devoured by the monster of capital and its crisis. We are told to consume less, to tighten belts, not to make much noise, to give them an opportunity to revive the economy. What the capitalists, their politicians and their ideologues “forget” to mention is that crisis, poverty, austerity, unemployment, and being rightless are all creations of the bourgeoisie and its states. They promise new market and stock exchange regulations. In return, they ask us to compensate the losses of the banks and international slave owner giants so that the interest rates would hike again and production would resume. We would be annihilated, they claim, without exploiters and their institutions and states, without their thefts and extravagances, without their wars and conflicts! They claim these quite shamelessly, indeed. And if we do not buy these lies and speak against it them, they will confront us with their arsenal of tear gas, taser guns, police force, jails, courts, mosques, churches, parliaments, politicians, and professional liars. This arsenal has been created on our backs. The cost of bulding and maintaining this arsenal is more than enough to uproot hunger, disease, illiteracy, drug addiction, prostitution, and the destruction of environment worldwide.
As long as political power is in the bosses’ hands and they make all the decisions for the world, the situation will remain, more or less, the same. If they would not burn down the entire world in their wars and competitions, which is the best-case scenario, they will get through their crisis by imposition of an unprecedented level of misery on us. They might cave in to some reforms for the fear of our protests, but the hell of wage slavery and rule of capital, profit, market, crisis, and, yet again crisis, will hold.
May Day is the day to confront this dilemma with our international ranks. This confrontation has to be, first and foremost, a political confrontation. We have to come forward aiming at the political expropriation of contemporary slave owners and take our destiny into our own hand. All the traditional May Day demands, ranging from reduction in work hours to unemployment insurance, provision of health, a decent wage, freedom of organization and strike, and political freedoms are all crucial for us. However, May Day 2009 is about more fundamental issues. It is about a showdown with the capitalist rule itself, that is, with the system of wage slavery and its state. Capitalism has to go. Socialism is the only viable response to the world problems. This is now accepted and stated by many. The first step toward socialism, however, is the political expropriation of the bourgeoisie, i.e., the conquest of political power and taking control of the society by the workers and the people who have no interest in the survival of exploitation. That is why the fundamental issue of this International Workers’ Day is preparing all the workers and the underprivileged people to determine the political fate of the society, that is, preparing them for the struggle for political expropriation of the bourgeois class and all the thieves, charlatans and demagogues who are responsible for the present situation.
In Iran, the Islamic regime of capital is undergoing an all-round, grave economic, political and social crisis. Any serious, sustained improvement in the lives of the people has an objective pre-condition: bringing down the ruling bourgeoisie and establishing a socialist republic. May Day is an opportunity for the workers and all the people who are fed up with the Islamic rule of capital to declare their hatred from the regime of billionaire mullahs and display their resolute will for overthrowing the misogynist, anti-joy, and anti-freedom Islamic government. The Worker-communist Party, leading the working class and freehearted people, will attempt to turn the International Workers’ Day, in Iran and abroad, to a day for ever-more achievements for the camp of freedom and equality (the camp of welfare, happiness and socialism) and to a day for increasing exposition and isolation of the Islamic Republic and preparing conditions for its overthrow through the revolutionary force of the workers, and people at large.
Long Live May Day!
Long Live Solidarity of Workers of the World!
Down with Capitalism!
Down with the Islamic Republic of Iran!
Long Live Freedom, Equality, Worker’s Rule!
